Explore the art of Chinese calligraphy and painting in this six-week studio series with artist Larine Chung.
During the first three weeks, participants will learn the foundations of Chinese calligraphy, exploring various scripts, brushstrokes, and the evolution of Chinese characters from early pictographs to modern forms. The final three weeks will build on these techniques, using calligraphic brushstrokes to explore traditional Chinese flower painting.
Visual examples and demonstrations will guide participants throughout the series. No prior experience is necessary, all materials provided.
